History

Founded in 1982, Caffes-Steele Incorporated is a commercial window and door contractor specializing in building renovation and envelope construction. Our work encompasses installation of all types of commercial window products, including aluminum, vinyl, wood, steel and fiber glass windows, as well as curtain wall and storefront applications.

Our corporate headquarters are located in Beltsville, MD and has been serving the needs of our customers in the Baltimore, Washington and Richmond corridor since 1982. We have completed window and door renovation projects in major cities from Pittsburgh to Atlanta.

Caffes-Steele was formed by Jim Caffes and Larry Steele. For nearly 30 years, Caffes-Steele has been recognized as a leader in the renovation and construction trade and has maintained steady growth in Washington D.C. and surrounding areas.

Our growth over the past decade in the Mid-Atlantic region has led to an expansion of several more offices, with the opening of a Tidewater branch in Hampton, VA (1999), a Richmond, VA office (2002), and most recently a warehouse in Baltimore, MD (2006). Although our offices are located in Maryland and Virginia, Caffes Steele has completed multiple projects in Delaware, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Colorado and the Carolinas.
